The Belgian customs authorities have developed an app to help travelers understand what they can, and more importantly, what they cannot import when they come home. The app can be downloaded from the Apple Store, Google Play and the Windows Store.
The app provides answers to questions such as:

You may have known that you cannot bring back ivory or corals but did you know that you cannot bring caviar into the country?
As for tobacco, if you travel within the EU, you can bring 800 cigarettes or 400 cigarillos (max 3 grams each) or 200 cigars, or 1 kilogram of smoking tobacco for your personal use. If you come from outside the EU, you can bring a quarter (200 cigarettes or 100 cigarillos or 50 cigars or 250 grams of smoking tobacco).
For alcohol and alcoholic beverages, you can bring 4 liters of wine, 16 liters of beer from another EU Member State or 10 liters of spirituous beverages. If you enter the EU in Belgium, you can only bring 4 liters or wine, 16 liters of beer or 1 liter of spirits.
